1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Tick (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not download or use the App.

2. Free App — No Warranties

Tick is provided free of charge, as-is, without any warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory. This includes, but is not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or that any defects will be corrected. Use of the App is at your own risk.

3. Your Content

You own all content you create in Tick — your notes, your todos, your data. Because all data is stored locally on your device, we have no access to it and exercise no rights over it.

You are solely responsible for backing up your own data. Deleting the App will permanently delete all locally stored data. We cannot recover it.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The AI Assistant feature generates notes and todo lists based on your input. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or misleading. You should always review and verify AI-generated content before relying on or acting on it.

We are not liable for any decisions made, actions taken, or outcomes arising from AI-generated content produced by the App. The AI feature is provided as a convenience tool, not a source of professional advice of any kind.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the App to:

• Engage in any illegal activity or violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the App's security features or functionality
• Use the AI feature to generate content that is harmful, abusive, threatening, or that violates the AI provider's usage policies
• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the experience for others

6. Updates and Discontinuation

We may update the App from time to time to improve features, fix bugs, or comply with platform requirements. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time, with or without notice.

We may also update these Terms of Service. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, which is zero.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
