Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

Nothing. Tick does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account to create, no profile attached to you, and no data we receive about your usage.

2. Local Storage

All of your notes, todos, settings, and app data are stored locally on your device using SQLite — a standard on-device database. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the system share feature to share a note with another app.

Deleting the app removes all associated local data permanently. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it for you.

3. AI Features

When you open the AI Assistant tab and submit a prompt, that text is sent to our AI service to generate a response. This is the only time any data leaves your device.

• We do not store or log your AI prompts on any server we operate.
• We do not send your existing notes, todos, or any other personal data to the AI.
• The AI feature is entirely opt-in — if you never open the AI tab, nothing is ever sent anywhere.
• Our AI provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle API requests on their end.

4. Voice Input

Voice input is processed entirely on-device by your phone's native speech recognition engine. On Android, this is the same engine that powers voice typing on your keyboard.

• We never record, store, or transmit audio files of any kind.
• We only receive the text transcript that results from on-device processing.
• That transcript stays on your device unless you choose to submit it to the AI assistant (see section 3).

5. Analytics

Tick contains no analytics tools, no advertising frameworks, and no behavioral tracking whatsoever. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or any similar service. We have no idea how you use the app — and that's intentional.

6. Crash Reporting

Tick currently has no automated crash reporting service. If the app crashes, no data is automatically sent anywhere. If you experience a crash, you are welcome to contact us directly.

7. Third Parties

The only third-party service Tick communicates with is our AI provider, and only when you actively submit a prompt in the AI tab. We integrate with no advertising networks, data brokers, or any other third-party services.

8. Children

Tick is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because Tick collects no personal data at all, this is largely academic — but we state it clearly for compliance purposes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes will be noted in app update release notes where possible.
